Chapters 4 - 6

These three chapters were an eye opener to me since I work with younger students. We do have elementary age students who are sensitive to peer criticism, but the majority are not. I loved the term "lyrical swords." I can relate to the influence of a coach through my son. I give some of them the credit for the man he has become. Teamwork is where it is, in my opinion. The individual is only as good as the team. Thank you Lord that I do not have any faculty members on the R.O.A.D. program. In chapter 6, Dr. Brown hit the nail on the head. Our job is all about passion for educating our students and when that fire is smoldering we need to go home. I also loved the quote, "Genetics loads the gun, but environment pulls the trigger." Sometimes I put one of our students in the car with their parents in the afternoon and think to myself the positive school day will be undone before the next morning.

See you all tomorrow.
